Berlin based Studio Berg simply aims to question the orthodox appearance of lifestyle products through design and artistic approaches. Foldwork is an exemplar model of this conception taking an ordinary clothing rack into a decorative piece. This product was developed by Friederike Delius for her diploma with the concept of bringing a household product into the living space without compromise of its function. Foldwork is a wall piece made of brass that also functions as a foldable clothes rack. Studio Berg was founded by Friederike Delius in 2014 after her graduation from the Universität der Künste Berlin.
“The initial idea for this project was to provide disregarded and primarily functional products in our household with a new appearance and give them their own personality in order to get them out of the utility rooms into the flat’s center of living.”
