Chris Burkard has been a photographer since he was 19 and now a professional photographer for Surfer magazine. When I read an interview of Chris on VSCO a few months back, I couldn’t help but think of all the sights and adventures he’s been to. I myself fancied doing some field work as an oceanographer or geologist spending months at a time living in terrains or on a boat far off coast somewhere, living as an intrepid adventurer. When one works with nature for most of their lives, one cannot help but find poetry in their surroundings whilst meeting different sorts of people in your travels, and being free or unrestrained by conventions, one feels a sense of satisfaction in being able to do one’s art as your occupation.
